My 1999 Ford Crown Victoria has 193,000 miles and is 19 years old. It needs everything replaced for preventative maintenance. However, the vehicle has a book value of maybe $1,200, so it does not make sense to spend thousands of dollars on repairs that aren’t absolutely required at the time. So when I tell the service person please do not come back and tell me I need other things repaired/replaced unrelated to the problem I asked him to address and that it will only make me mad then he does it anyway after the fact and tells me he’s required to do so only makes me madder. It doesn’t make sense to spend several thousand dollars on a vehicle only worth $1,200. Thanks
